
COORDINATOR OF FINE AND PERFORMING ARTS
PURPOSE: To grow a comprehensive fine arts ministry that includes a broad expression of the arts and that is collaborative, inclusive and interactive, and to support creating a worship and other experiences where all can feel the presence of God.

COMPENSATION
- Dependent upon experience
- Part-Time up to 10 hours/week
- Additional compensation for camps
VACATION
- 20 hours of vacation/year
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the pastor and session to incorporate the arts into the worship service
- Develop a quarterly calendar which outlines the arts that will be incorporated into the worship service (special performances 2x/month)
- Work in concert with the Pastor and organist
- Attend a portion of the monthly session meeting
- Get to know the people of the congregation to plan appropriately
- Develop the gifts and talents of individuals within the congregation and encourage individuals to use those gifts
- Utilize outside resources and individuals as opportunities to incorporate fine and performing arts into the worship service
- Oversee, coordinate, and provide worship and musical leadership to the youth ministry which may include searching, developing, training and forming a band of musical talent, a drama group or other artistic performance groups
- Coordinate sound and AV for artistic performance
- Plan, organize and execute a music, art or drama camp for children

GENERAL REQUIREMENT
- High School Diploma or GED
- Formal musical/fine arts training and/or experience
- Ability to play a musical instrument preferably the piano
- Interest in and knowledge of a wide variety of fine and performing arts

- Successful completion of child protection clearances per PA State Law and criminal background check
PREFERRED QUALILFICATIONS
- Bachelor's in Music, Music Education, Theatre or Fine Arts or related field.
