Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Missions We Support

At McVeytown Presbyterian Church we strive to authentically love God and others through our words and actions.  We live out this principle through multiple mission opportunities locally, within the United States and around the world.

Within our local community, the Board of Deacons provides Power Packs for the area school and supports the local “food box” with groceries and paper supplies. Our “Backyard Ministry” group connects directly with families living adjacent to our church property through bi-weekly visitation. In addition to the visit, the family receives a Bible story/devotion, encouragement, and food. Additionally, our generous mission budget supports multiple local non-profit agencies.

We are passionate about serving communities within the United States that have been devastated by natural disasters. Mission trip with the United States generally occur yearly or every other year. Some communities in which we have served include: Homestead FL, Bayou La Batre AL, New Orleans LA, New Bern NC, Houston TX, and Port Charolette FL

Internationally, our congregation has partnerships with YWAM Cluj Romania, Haiti Health Ministries, and Pahk 5 Nan Thailand. These partnerships not only include financial support to the ministry, we travel abroad to serve and build relationships with the people!

Additionally, we are committed to involving our youth in mission efforts. Our youth have participated in trips to Toronto, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Haiti, and Romania to name a few.

We invite you to come and be the hands and feet of Jesus with us.
